What You'll Do
Maintain all equipment, systems, and building components including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, and other equipment.
Build, repair, and paint all parts of the hotel.
Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
Clean carpets and rugs.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Detect malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discuss issues with supervisors or maintenance staff.
Dismantle defective machines and install repaired or new parts.
Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
Fabricate and repair furniture and fixtures.
Attend scheduled training and meetings.
Paint corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas as needed.
Transport heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairs.
Assist in delivering and setting up new equipment.
Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects.
Respond promptly and courteously to customer requests.
What You Bring
Previous experience as a hotel engineer or similar maintenance role in an apartment complex or office building preferred.
Ability to be yourself, lead yourself, and make a difference.
Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information The hourly pay range is $18.00 to $22.00 for roles in Santa Barbara, CA. Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and organizational needs. We offer benefits including paid time off, insurance, 401k, and more.
