Lead an engineering team collaborating with major silicon companies to optimize Ubuntu across the Linux stack, from kernel to GUI, for the latest hardware. This fast-paced role requires resourcefulness, strong communication, and the ability to deliver solutions across PC and IoT technologies. You will partner with engineers from top silicon firms to integrate new features and performance enhancements. Responsibilities
Manage a distributed team designing and implementing Ubuntu on new IoT and server hardware. Engage with partners to deliver a top-tier Ubuntu experience on their platforms. Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback. Oversee project milestones and ensure quality standards. Coordinate with internal teams on product architecture and roadmaps. Work remotely with occasional travel up to twice a year for two weeks. Candidate Profile
Experience with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server hardware. Proven ability to work with customers, resolve technical issues, and communicate solutions effectively. Experience managing or leading software engineering teams. Knowledge of agile development methodologies. Strong collaboration and communication skills in English.
