- Administers medication (e.g., oral, intramuscular, and intravenous) and monitors patient medication compliance
- Performs treatments and assists with nurse’s sick call
- Assists with doctor’s sick call
- Manages nursing care in chronic clinics
- Responds to emergencies with emergency care and CPR
- Performs patient assessments and documents findings
- Collects specimens
- Prepares patients for transfer or release, reviewing care and summaries
- Ensures timely medication orders and pharmacy forwarding
- Participates in training and exercises
- Supports healthcare staff and investigates concerns
- Reviews shift reports and assists physicians
- Assumes duties of absent nurses
- Provides patient education on health maintenance and prevention
- Engages in quality assurance and training new staff
- Serves as a resource for healthcare and security staff
- Provides orientation and training at the Nursing Supervisor’s direction
- Acts as the lead clinical authority in the absence of senior staff
- Participates in group programming and wellness initiatives
- Performs administrative duties, including scheduling and inventory management
- Assists ancillary staff as needed
Starting pay is approximately $88,000 based on location/shift assignments.
Ohio has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), allowing multistate practice with a single license in participating states.
DRC is a “qualifying employer” for the federal Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness program.
Requires current Ohio RN licensure as issued by the Board of Nursing.
