Responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing excellent service by answering questions, resolving issues, processing policy changes, and supporting the agency’s overall customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding insurance policies, coverage options, billing, and claims.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations accurately and timely.
  • Educate clients on insurance products and services and assist in identifying appropriate coverage based on their needs.
  • Maintain client records in agency management systems and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare quotes, policy documents, and follow-up communications.
  • Proactively reach out to clients for renewals, missing documents, and coverage reviews.
  • Escalate complex service issues to appropriate team members or carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and carrier requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Active state insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health) or ability to obtain.
  • 1–3 years of customer service experience in an insurance or financial services setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and Microsoft Office.

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 Annual
