Job Summary:

Belden's Customer Service Representative supports the sales goals of the company by developing and maintaining a highly skilled level of product knowledge, sales policies, familiarity of departmental, interdepartmental and interplant procedures to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Under this role, you will coordinate with our Field Sales, Inside Sales, Engineering and Marketing teams to meet customer requirements and provide exemplary service to our customersby recommending productsand/or product alternatives to meet their needs. This role will be based in the Richmond Division office in Richmond, Indiana.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and processes orders, order inquiries, stock checks, and price inquiries received by email, telephone, fax, or personal contact.
  • Enters orders, quotations, meet comps and complaints.
  • Utilizes internal systems and programs such as Salesforce.com, AS400, eDesk Platform, Microsoft Office 365 applications, and BPCS to receive and extract customer information and/or refers to catalogs and manuals to answer customer questions relative to pricing, item availability, and shipping dates.
  • Process call-backs to customers or outside sales
  • Contact appropriate departments to trace and/or expedite shipments to customers. Enters order, quotations

Required Skills And Experience

  • Education - High School Diploma required.
  • Experience - Proven track record of providing customer service, industry and sales experience is a plus.
  • Desired Abilities and Skills - Able to proficiently use MS Office tools, Lotus Notes, Impromptu, and Internet. Acceptable knowledge of products, sales information, product availability, salesterritories, and department policies and procedures. Human relations skills and ability to resolve customer problems. Strong attention to detail with data entry and competency managing order systems such as BPCS.
  • Must be capable of complying with Belden's Attendance Policy.
