Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and distribution processes. This position requires a strong focus on safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while handling various warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all incoming material is accurately counted, identified, documented, and stored; collaborate with all company personnel to ensure quality customer service.
- Work in outdoors/warehouse environments in heat or cold, rain or shine; this is a physically intensive job.
- Handle heavy materials; operate forklifts; CDL license would be a plus to help deliver material.
- Identify what a customer needs and build out their orders.
- Comply with all established procedures for receiving inventory.
- Examine all incoming shipments, record shortages, overages, damages or discrepancies on receiving documentation and obtain signatures; identify damaged freight and communicate with credit department.
- Direct the handling and placement of material received to their proper location.
- Coordinate with the appropriate product department for special orders; learn basic data systems functions to follow up on errors and exceptions.
- Preplan the receipt of incoming shipments to facilitate placement, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Maintain a well-organized, safeguarded, clean warehouse and yard with proper bin locations.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Manager about potential inventory needs and gaps in fill rates.
- Monitor obsolete and slow-moving inventory and suggest ideas to minimize.
- Complete mandatory training courses for the Warehouse & Counter Sales position.

Skills / Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including stocking, order picking, and heavy lifting.
- Problem solving and critical thinking.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Ability to operate sit-down forklifts.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and packaging processes.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
