Overview

The warehouse associate is responsible for all receiving, shipping, inventory management, data entry, product movement, and transportation internally and externally. Must be able to operate all forklifts and drive a company box truck to move products inside and outside the building. Proficient in X3 ERP systems, Starship Shipping Software, MS Outlook, and related computer skills to accurately enter and track information used in the Shipping & Receiving Department. Adapt and learn new processes and procedures to work collaboratively with team members inside and outside the department.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, ship, and manage inventory; perform data entry and track information in required software.
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) and drive the company box truck for local movements (CDL not required).
  • Use X3 ERP systems, Starship Shipping Software, MS Outlook, and related tools to ensure accurate documentation and shipments.
  • Prepare and stage orders for shipment; verify outbound shipments against pick lists; apply shipping labels and packing slips; load and secure cargo for transport.
  • Inspect inbound shipments for damage; unload trucks; verify received goods against packing lists and BOL; report discrepancies or damages.
  • Move inventory to correct locations; perform inventory bin transfers in X3; participate in routine cycle counts and year-end inventory.
  • Prepare warehouse at start of day, ensure safety equipment and tow motor checklists are in place; assist with training of new Shipping Associates as needed.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or associate degree in business or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to drive a box truck for local pickups and deliveries (CDL not required).
  • Able to operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other lifts.
  • Keen attention to detail; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills required to process LTL and small package shipments; familiarity with MS Outlook, Starship shipping software, and X3 ERP system.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and perform manual tasks related to receiving and shipping.
