Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Safely and efficiently perform a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support both internal and external customers and meet business goals and demands. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, quality control checks, dumping, rework, replenishing, and handling PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods.

*The specific duties may vary depending on the facility where the Warehouse Associate is employed.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Verify accuracy and quality of received and shipped products.
  • Perform check-in/check-out duties and maintain records (BOLs, receivers, pick tickets) according to standard operating procedures.
  • Count returned goods from sales and delivery personnel.
  • Operate yard switcher and trucks safely on premises for loading/unloading.
  • Use automation systems, voice pick, paper pick tickets, and warehouse management systems to verify and record products, build pallets, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine faults, perform basic maintenance on automation systems.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, wrappers, and others safely and efficiently.
  • Perform safety checks and janitorial tasks to maintain a clean workspace.
  • Adhere to food safety and GMP guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to pass forklift skills assessment and operate material handling equipment safely.
  • At least six months of forklift experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude, good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read labels, load tickets, and count large quantities.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Mental: Repetitive, fast-paced work requiring alertness.

Physical: Constantly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally sit, read, climb, reach, kneel, bend, push, crawl, walk, and stand.

EQUIPMENT USED

Yard switcher, trucks, dock plates, forklifts, palletizer, wrappers, automation systems, and general warehouse tools.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
