Stericycle Inc is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Portland

Position Purpose:

The Shredding Specialist is responsible for receiving, segregating, and loading waste paper into a shredder, along with supporting various warehouse duties. As a member of the local operations team, the specialist coordinates truck parking for the next day and contributes to a safe, harmonious work environment.

Key Job Activities:

1. Unload shredded paper, media, and products from trucks nightly.
2. Reload trucks with necessary equipment for the next day.
3. Operate and maintain baling machinery.
4. Stage or load paper bales for shipment.
5. Support off-site shredding operations.
6. Safeguard hardware and equipment with security measures.
7. Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance.
8. Maintain a clean, safe work area per standards.
9. Clean truck compartments and cabs nightly.
10. Perform equipment maintenance regularly.
11. Manage supplies for plant operations.
12. Follow security and safety policies, reporting concerns to management.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• At least 1 year in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• 6+ months certified forklift operation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Understanding of plant operations and report interpretation beneficial.

Certifications and Licenses:

Forklift certification preferred.
