Hourly Range : $22- $24

Responsibilities: Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties:

  • Counts material in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Compares actual inventories to records in Metalware.
  • Adjusts errors in computation or count and/or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Employees must be willing to assist in other areas of operations as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or One-year certificate from college or technical school
  • Experience in metals industry is preferred
  • Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
  • Basic computer skills are necessary
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Willingness to learn mainframe program (internal computer system)
  • Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring device
  • Willingness to learn to operate forklift/side loader and such along with cutting equipment
  • Knowledge of basic math skills

  • Position requires standing, sitting, stooping, and kneeling
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception with or without corrected vision
  • Willingness to work in an environment with varying temperature degrees
