LHH is seeking a PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT for a contract-to-hire position in Downtown Houston, TX.

Position: PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Location: 100% ONSITE (77002 zip code)

Pay Range: $26.44–$31.25/hr DOE

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–2 PM (approx. 25 hours/week)

NOTE: This role will eventually transition to full-time (40 hours/week) after 3–6 months

SUMMARY

We are seeking a professional and proactive Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to manage front desk operations and provide administrative support to key personnel. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys multitasking, and is committed to delivering exceptional service. The position will begin part-time and transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.

DUTIES

Receptionist Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors professionally and assist with their needs

  • Maintain presence at the reception desk and coordinate coverage when away

  • Answer and direct phone calls; take and distribute accurate messages

  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, express deliveries, and faxes

  • Prepare and send outgoing mail and arrange courier services

  • Keep reception and common areas clean and organized

  • Monitor and restock office and kitchen supplies; maintain equipment areas

  • Prepare conference rooms before and after meetings; troubleshoot tech issues

  • Escort vendors and service personnel as needed

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including visas and itineraries

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, calls, and events

  • Maintain files and contact lists; prepare meeting materials

  • Draft correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents

  • Provide backup support to other Executive Assistants

  • Assist with special projects, research, and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Previous experience managing multiple tasks and urgent deadlines

  • Experience booking complex travel itineraries preferred

  • Foreign language skills a plus

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

  • Strong communication, organization, and planning abilities

  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential matters

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Calm and composed under pressure

  • Solution-oriented and accountable team player



Pay Details: $26.44 to $31.25 per hour
