Job Duties

The Department of Veteran Services is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist the Agency Managment Services department. The Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director and assist in coordinating various agency general services activities and/or special projects. Initially, this position will be responsible for assisting the Director with the planned relocation of agency staff to a new office location.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; knowledge of office equipment operations; skill in the use of computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams); experience coordinating office operations, including inventory control, supply ordering, and records management; experience in managing calendar scheduling and coordinating logistics for meetings and events; the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and multi-task to meet deadlines; demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions; and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

Additional Considerations

Experience managing office operations and special projects, the ability to adapt to frequent project changes and requirements, the ability to adjust work hours as needed, and the ability to travel to DVS locations.
