Overview

Administrative Assistant role at Jethro Health System. Jethro Health System is a patient-centered, Medicare and Medicaid Accredited Home Health Care agency seeking an Administrative Assistant to support administrative and front-office activities.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately compile the initial Patient Profile for each therapy and distribute it to the appropriate members of the healthcare team for processing.
  • Receive referrals and inquiries for agency programs and route appropriately.
  • Assist the Staffing Coordinator in screening and testing all applicants.
  • Complete personal folders for field employees and support monthly audits of non-administrative personnel files.
  • Photocopy and verify licenses/identification with the appropriate licensing body as necessary.
  • Schedule cases receiving care by the agency with appropriate supervision of Client Care and Staffing Coordinators.
  • Keep records and required documentation updated.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to patient/client inquiries or problems.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with employees and clients to evaluate service.
  • Serve as a liaison between non-administrative personnel and the office.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management; organize and prioritize large volumes of information and calls.
  • Work independently and as part of a team on projects requested by Human Resources and/or the Administrator, including planning presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, and creating brochures.
  • Accurately compile the initial Patient Profile for each therapy and distribute it to the appropriate team members for processing (redundant item retained to preserve original content).
  • Answer incoming phones for Intake and document calls in emails to appropriate staff and in the patient file where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate; 18 years or older; at least 1 year of administrative experience (healthcare or social work field preferred).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to listen, be flexible, and guide others.
  • Problem solving, creativity, and ability to follow rules and policies.
  • Knowledge of administrative, clerical, and secretarial procedures (word processing, Excel, forms design, telephone operation, mail distribution, transcription, and related office duties).

Experience

  • Intake/Coordinating: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Home Health/Care: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Home Healthcare EMR (Preferred)

Job Details

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
  • Benefits: Flextime; On-the-job training; Paid time off
