NFI Massachusetts, Inc., a non-profit human service organization, is currently seeking a 30-hour-per-week Administrative Assistant to support our Family Resource Center office located in Lowell, MA. The Family Resource Center provides services either on-site or through referrals, including family support, career support, mental health counseling, education support, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) support, and more.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and engaging with members as they come into the center.
- Answering phones and supporting the team with copying, faxing, and other administrative duties.
- Data entry.
- Marketing through our in-house bulletin boards and social media platforms.
- Inventory and organization.
- Organizing and maintaining our food and clothes pantry.
- Assisting with intake and needs assessments with each family, which may involve a broad range of areas including housing, finance & budgeting, employment, education, food & nutrition, school & daycare, legal issues, health, parenting, and daily living skills.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience preferred.
- Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft products is required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).
- Spanish speaking highly preferred.
Hourly Rate: $20/hr
Benefits for full-time employees include: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 403(b) Retirement Plan, 3 weeks paid vacation time, paid sick leave, and Tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per fiscal year.
