Our Administrative Assistants are the first Wilmington Treatment Center team members our newly admitting patients meet with. This position is responsible for assisting in guiding our new patients through the admission process. Our Admissions Administrative Assistants are caring, compassionate, and empathetic, providing a high level of customer service to our patients. This is an onsite 2nd shift position.
The hours for this position are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 1:30 pm to 10 pm, and every other weekend, 9 am to 7:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
- Complete the admission process accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely distribution of necessary paperwork to notify staff of patient arrivals or transfers.
- Greet patients upon arrival, search belongings, and answer questions.
- Complete admission paperwork, explain forms to patients, notify clinical staff of arrivals, and escort patients and documentation to appropriate locations within the facility.
- Ensure all required patient information is received, processed, and necessary appointments are scheduled with behavioral or medical health personnel.
- Perform clerical duties including managing paperwork, data entry, handling insurance claims, and answering phones.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity.
- Ability to work with adult male and female patients (18+) with chemical dependency and mental health disorders.
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- CPI and CPR certifications (offered on site).
PREFERRED:
- Experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably within substance use disorder treatment.
