Job Description
Description:

Are you someone who brings warmth, organization, and a welcoming smile to everything you do?

Do you love working with children and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference?

At Honeysuckle Home, we care for children in a place that feels like home — not a hospital. Honeysuckle Home is a transitional group home that will serve at-risk youth with special medical needs, age 0 to 18. Founded to bridge gaps of care during a child’s life, we will provide a safe and nurturing home-like environment with 24/7 nursing care and mental health support.

As our Administrative Assistant (Receptionist), you’ll be the first friendly face families, staff, and visitors see, and the voice that makes every interaction feel caring and professional.

What You’ll Do:

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our daily operations:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Front Desk & First Impressions: Greet visitors, answer calls, and handle inquiries with compassion and professionalism.
  • Team Support: Assist with scheduling, meetings, correspondence, and event coordination to keep things running smoothly.
  • Organization & Documentation: manage records filing, and assist with documentation to support compliance and daily operations.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Arrange appointments, coordinate activities, and help organization events for a well-structured environment.
  • Communication & Translation: Communicate clearly with staff, families, and partners; assist with Spanish/English translation when needed.
  • Transportation Assistance: Occasionally help transport staff and residents to appointments or activities when required.
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
  • At least 1 years of administrative experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license & Insurance
  • Able to pass background checks, fingerprinting, medical exams, and meet vaccination & TB test requirements

You’ll also need to successfully complete mandated reporter training and maintain all required licenses/certifications.

If you’re ready to bring your heart and your skills to a team that treats every child like family, we’d love to hear from you!

Apply today and help us create a home full of care, comfort, and joy.
