Position Summary


The Administrative Assistant provides essential office and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of Nexteel Sahas steel tubular mill. This position supports management, production, safety, and quality teams with clerical, organizational, and communication tasks, helping maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities


General Office Support


  • Perform clerical duties including answering phones, managing correspondence, filing, and document preparation.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and appointments.

  • Maintain vendor orders.

  • Support internal communications and employee notices.
Production & Operations Support


  • Prepare, update, and distribute production reports, shift logs, and daily joint counts.

  • Assist with tracking mill tonnage, downtime, and quality data.

  • Maintain accurate records for material receipts, shipping documents, and inventory tracking.

Maintenance & Engineering Support


  • Prepare, file, and track preventive maintenance logs, repair requests, and work orders.

  • Assist engineering and maintenance teams with technical documentation, drawings, and part specifications.

  • Maintain vendor service reports, calibration records, and inspection logs.

  • Support the scheduling and follow-up of equipment inspections and regulatory compliance tasks (e.g., cranes, forklifts, pressure systems).

  • Maintain accurate databases for maintenance KPIs, spare parts, and equipment history files

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (files, office supplies).
