Truck Driver Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver with WCTractor, your primary responsibilities include managing the transport of construction and agricultural equipment between locations. This involves loading and properly securing equipment, safely transporting it, and maintaining communication with team members and customers. This is a home daily position, with vehicles ranging from 3/4 Ton trucks to 18 Wheelers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Uphold a safe and productive work environment
• Transport tractors and equipment over the road to and from stores and customer locations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document work/rest periods and miles driven
• Comply with trucking rules, regulations, and company policies
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading
• Verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations promptly

Qualifications

Truck Driver Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Compliance with all DOT regulations and a Class A CDL in good standing; extensive customer service experience required
• Computer skills
• Ability to sit/stand for up to eight hours
