M.T. Laney Co. Inc. is an established successful construction company located in Eldersburg, MD, is looking to hire a professional Sweeper Truck Driver to join their team.

SWEEPER TRUCK DRIVER

M.T. Laney Co. Inc. is an established successful construction company located in Eldersburg, MD, is looking to hire a professional Sweeper Truck Driver to join their team.

The Driver’s primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of sweeper truck cleaning debris from streets throughout the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old
  • Valid CDL - Class B Driver’s license with a good driving record (License must be the State of residence)
  • Able to drive a manual transmission
  • Must maintain a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to perform and have acknowledged all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and Company policies
  • Able to exercise caution when operating in confined spaces and congested streets.
  • Ability to fill the street sweeper’s water tanks and use rotary brushes and water spray controls
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip making sure truck is in safe conditions
  • Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions
  • Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations
  • Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck

Physical And Mental Demands

  • Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to drive up to 12 hours a day
  • Walk, bend, kneel, and twist
  • Talk and hear
  • Lift and move up to 75 pounds on occasions

Education

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred

Certifications

  • Valid CDL - Class B Driver’s (License must be the State of residence)
  • Must be able to pass a Medical Examiner’s Certificate

Experience

  • 1+ years of Sweeper Truck experience preferred
