M.T. Laney Company, Inc. is hiring: Fuel Truck Driver in Eldersburg

FUEL TRUCK DRIVER

M.T. Laney Co. Inc. is an established, successful construction company in Eldersburg, MD, looking to hire a professional Fuel Truck Driver to join their team.

The Driver’s primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of a Fuel Truck. Responsibilities include but are not limited to fueling, greasing, and checking fluid levels of our various types of equipment at job sites throughout the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fueling, greasing, and checking fluid levels of equipment at job sites.
• Operate and maintain a Fuel Truck safely and efficiently.
• Maintain telephone contact with Supervisor for instructions.
• Maintain truck logs as required by State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations.
• Keep assigned truck clean and orderly.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old
• Valid CDL – Class B Driver’s license with tank and hazmat endorsements
• Able to drive a manual transmission
• Must maintain a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to perform and have acknowledged all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and Company policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the truck is in safe condition
• Maintains telephone contact with Supervisor for instructions
• Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations
• Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to drive up to 12 hours a day
• Must be able to climb in and out of the truck at multiple times of the day
• Walk, bend, kneel, and twist
• Talk and hear
• Lift and move up to 75 pounds on occasions

EDUCATION

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred

CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid CDL – Class B Driver’s (License must be the State of residence)
• Must be able to pass a Medical Examiner’s Certificate

EXPERIENCE

• 1+ year of Fuel Truck experience preferred
