The CDL Driver will safely and efficiently deliver equipment between locations and jobsites while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment and vehicles and notify appropriate team members, if any damages or defective equipment has been found
- Assist team members with setup and breakdown of cranes / rigging equipment as needed
- Properly load and unload equipment to trailer in accordance with company safety standards
- Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Adhere to Sterling Crane standards
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience preferably in-town, congested areas
- Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.
- Maintain valid A CDL with DOT physical examination (medical card)
- Clean MVR and successfully pass background, drug screen and pre-employment physical
- Strong work ethic with ability to follow directions.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures
- Prior experience with rigging or crane-related work is beneficial but not required.
- Employee will be required to have the capability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit and lift daily.
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move freight/crane parts up to 65lbs.
- Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects and or materials.
