AA Asphalting is hiring: Dump Truck Driver in Vancouver

We are seeking dedicated and motivated professionals to join our Vancouver team. We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and complete driver's checklist in Fleetio.
• Load and unload equipment safely with assistance, and ensure equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
• Practice safe driving in all operating conditions, follow all safety regulations, and consistently use spotters.
• Identify mechanical issues with engine, brakes and electrical systems; shut down and secure the machine as needed; report maintenance or damage to Foreman and Shop Foreman.
• Ensure material is loaded safely and transported to jobsites efficiently (not overweight, no debris).
• Follow GPS to job sites and material sources in a timely manner.
• Spread and dump gravel efficiently; position truck for paver and place material as directed.
• Perform non-driving, general labor duties as needed.
• Provide material tickets to the Foreman daily to support workflow.
• Maintain a clean truck and equipment, including trailer cleanup and good housekeeping.
• Ensure the truck is fueled each night and practice preventive safety measures; wear required PPE.

Requirements

• Must have a CDL Class A.
• Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
• Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
• Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.

Salary

Salary: $32.00 - $38.25 per hour
