CDL Truck Driver Job at UFP Site Built in Conway

Truck Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles over 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight to deliver goods to customers and operations, as well as to pick up materials from vendors and other operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles in various weather conditions to deliver products.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection sheets.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operating conditions, including checking oil and fuel prior to departure.
• Secure loads and verify proper securing of cargo.
• Follow all safety, DOT, and company regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the truck clean.
• Maintain accurate driving records, logs, and shipping documents.
• Use radio/telephone and EOB Electronic On-Board System to communicate with dispatch.
• Verify shipping documents for accuracy and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Operate a forklift for loading and unloading as needed, following company policies.
• Participate in training and safety programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle over 26,000 lbs; 3-5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle parts and minor repairs.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of forklift licensing.
