Overview

As a Yard Truck Driver, you’ll move loaded and unloaded trailers around our Reverse Logistics Centers as needed. You’ll be responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of trailers to maximize the efficiency of our operation and minimize safety incidents. This person will be vital to the success of our team!

Pay and Schedule

Hourly Pay: $20.00/hr.

Shift(s):

• 1st Shift Tuesday - Friday 5:00am - 3:30pm
• 2nd Shift Tuesday - Friday 3:00pm - 1:30am
• 3rd Shift Saturday - Monday 5:00am - 5:00pm
• 4th Shift Saturday - Monday 5:00pm - 5:00am

Salary: USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Yr.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53' long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage
• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure
• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure
• When applicable, operate a forklift to move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• When applicable, stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
• When applicable, examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment that meets Relogistics standards
• Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi is a plus, not required
• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

Work Environment and Qualifications

• Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulates
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for varying shifts
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• PPE is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and color vision
• Good balance and eye-hand-foot coordination
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing 50-75 lbs
