$18.85/hr - $30.10/hr

Summary
CHS Dakota Plains Ag is hiring for an Applicator/Truck Driver in Comstock, MN. This hybrid role involves driving and applying chemicals, depending on season and business needs. It offers a variety of daily tasks and opportunities to develop technical skills and customer relationships.
As a Truck Driver, you will facilitate logistics for farmers, ranchers, feed & seed stores, gas stations, and refineries—moving products and supplies, supporting rural America from spring planting to fall harvest.
As a Custom Applicator, you'll work independently, building relationships with farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs. You'll operate sprayers and loaders, applying products safely and accurately, gaining hands-on experience with machinery and maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizer and crop protection products, possibly using high clearance sprayers or floaters.
- Deliver products to customers.
- Provide courteous service and educate customers on products and techniques.
- Assist sales staff with order accuracy and customer needs.
- Perform warehouse duties, including driving loaders and forklifts, and maintaining equipment.
- Load products daily, lifting 1-2 hours per day.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including pre-trip/post-trip reports, load securement, and hours of service.
- Maintain vehicle and work environment cleanliness.
- Complete daily maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Training provided on crop protection and application equipment operation.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in agriculture production, operations, or application.
- Must meet minimum age requirements.
Additional Qualifications
- Maintain or obtain CDL and DOT medical card.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Flexibility for extra hours, overnight stays, and weekends.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
- Agriculture background and customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with bulk liquids, pressure trailers, or forklifts preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
- Climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and into trailers.
- Work in dust, adverse weather, and temperature conditions.
