We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Turret Truck Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating turret trucks to safely and efficiently pick, organize, and prepare inventory for shipment. This position requires an individual who is safety-conscious, physically capable of working in a warehouse environment, and able to perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operate turret trucks to retrieve products from high shelves or racks within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, organize, and verify inventory in accordance with plant needs.
- Ensure that products are in good condition and properly stored before shipment.
- Verify part number and quantities before loading them onto pallets or into shipping containers.
- Assist in inventory management by regularly cycle counting.
- Ensure safe operation of turret trucks, following all safety protocols and maintaining certifications for turret truck operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of turret truck equipment.
- Support the unloading and stocking of goods from delivery trucks when needed.
- Collaborate with team members and management to ensure the efficient flow of inventory.
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating turret trucks or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willing to complete in house certification on applicable lift trucks
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow specific instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment, with exposure to varying temperatures depending on season.
- Safety gear and equipment will be provided and must be worn as required.
- Lifting and physical activity required.
