Surge Staffing LLC is hiring: Truck Driver in Birmingham

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Non-CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves operating company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. A valid driver’s license and current DOT medical certificate/physical are required.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company trucks/vans under 26,000 lbs. GVW (no CDL required).

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues.

• Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent shifting or damage during transport.

• Deliver goods to customers, job sites, or company locations in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records as required.

• Adhere to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.

• Assist with warehouse or yard duties when not driving.

Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license (no CDL required).

• Current DOT physical/medical certificate required.

• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background and drug screening.

• Ability to lift up to [X lbs.] and perform manual labor as needed.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience driving box trucks, flatbeds, or similar vehicles.
