General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be engaged in these tasks across store areas as needed and may perform additional tasks to support customer service and store operations.
Essential Functions
- Safety is the number one priority; maintain a safe, uncluttered sales floor and report any unsafe conditions to Store Leadership
- Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions or practices
- Treat Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; greet customers, assist with merchandise, and respond politely to inquiries
- Assist Customers at the register and with merchandise; provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times
- Perform cleaning tasks to maintain store and areas, including restrooms and high-touch surfaces
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code
- Complete daily merchandising tasks to keep the store neat, clean, and well-presented
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor following presentation guidelines
- Understand Loss Prevention practices and merchandise protection standards
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise
- Follow MOS policies for identification, processing, and disposal of MOS merchandise
- Adhere to all cash, check, credit, refund, and offline procedures with accuracy
- Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by following Store best practices

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use store equipment and operate registers as required
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop; lift up to 25 pounds regularly; heavier lifting may be required occasionally
- Ability to use janitorial equipment and assist with store setup and maintenance
- Stockroom associates: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $15.00 - $15.50 per hour, depending on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, seniority, and location. Benefits include insurance options, associate discounts, retirement programs, and other offerings described by the company. Some benefits are available to full-time associates and may vary by role and location.
