The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards as outlined in all work centers, maintains a clean work area at all times, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The position may require performing a range of tasks in all areas of the Store as business needs require.

Essential Functions
- Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
- Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; remains friendly and professional at all times; recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs.
- Assists Customers in any way necessary—register-trained, assists with merchandise, and answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner; greets Customers with eye contact, a smile, and a greeting throughout the Store and thanks customers at the register.
- Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers; responds to Customer Service calls immediately; handles issues courteously and with the help of Store Leadership when needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies) to maintain merchandise, customer and Team areas; disinfects high-touch areas.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company's dress code.
- Performs daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, organized store that is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandises items per monthly presentation guidelines, and maintains merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
- Understands Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions; safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
- Follows MOS policies, proper processing of each piece, and notifies Store Leadership to review and approve disposals.
- Follows policies and procedures concerning cash, checks, charge cards and refunds; maintains accuracy while handling transactions.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency to perform duties efficiently and in line with Store best practices.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements/Ada
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store for up to 100% of shift.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; ability to push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds (and more than 20 pounds for Stockroom shifts).
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
