Overview

Retail Cleaning Associate role at The TJX Companies, Inc. (HomeGoods store). This part-time position focuses on maintaining a clean and organized store environment with emphasis on floor care; cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized store environment with a focus on floor care, including operation of scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.


• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.


• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs and respond to Front End coverage and store recovery as needed.


• Ensure health and safety standards are followed; restrooms, lounge areas, and other spaces are maintained and stocked.


• Maintain signage, merchandising standards, and communicate accurately with management and associates.


• Adhere to labor laws and policies, including Associate meal and break period policies.


• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills; ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.


• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of multi-tasking and adapting to change.


• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer/scrubber; ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Standout team member who works well with peers and supervisors; retail customer experience preferred.
