Title: Data Analyst, Level III
Clearance: Public Trust required, Secret preferred.
Location: Hybrid Remote, On-Site 2-3 days/week in Alexandria, VA
Salary: $135,000 – 155,000

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to contribute to client-facing advanced data analysis engagements. They will help collect requirements, capture user stories, flush out conceptual designs, determine data analysis approaches, and work with a cross functional Data Team to ultimately design, build, and improve data products. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience in stakeholder collaboration, data modeling, and data analytics. This role requires an analytical professional with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality work.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Insights:
- Synthesize data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend data-driven strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on key metrics and trends.Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business units to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering insights and guidance on data-related challenges
Advanced Data Analysis:
- Conduct statistical analyses using tools like Python, R, etc to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Perform predictive modeling, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing to support business objectives.
- Analyze datasets from multiple sources to identify actionable insights.
Data Modeling & Visualization:
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Qlik Sense to communicate findings clearly.
- Create data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Ensure visualizations are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
Data Quality & Integrity:
- Validate datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Implement processes to monitor and improve data quality over time.
- Ability to efficiently wrangle complex data sets
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with advanced data analysis, data modeling, and visualization and 5+ years of total work experience.
- Proven experience with statistical tools like Python, R, SAS, SPSS, ER/Studio or Erwin Data Modeler.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI) is a plus.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Formal training in human centered design, user experience, or user interface design.
- Experience with Qlik Data Integration platform (Replicate, Talend, etc) is a plus
- Experience with Collibra Data Catalog is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, or using Qlik Answers (GenAI).
- Experience working in a federal government environment.
