Responsibilities
Job Summary/Purpose
The Clinical Data Analyst works with management and staff to define problems, devise solutions, perform workflow analysis, quality control, and manage problems and changes. The position analyzes, reports, presents, and encourages the use of data to monitor and improve care, as well as to design related processes and systems. The Clinical Analyst supports advanced clinical quality inquiries, leading to ad hoc report generation and investigative analysis, often resulting in new clinically relevant information used to enhance quality, safety, service, and growth. The position facilitates the establishment of a data-driven culture in clinical quality and operational areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting, tracking, and reporting quality measures/indicators across the system.
- Produces timely and accurate reports.
- Seeks opportunities to automate or improve the accuracy and efficiency of data collection and reporting.
- Communicates about business issues beyond data management, including clinical finance, operations, quality metrics, and process improvements to ensure proper focus and results against performance metrics.
- Provides project leadership and ongoing support of multiple clinical systems.
- Ensures collection and distribution of data and documents to meet regulatory and benchmarking requirements.
- Supports projects, analyzes data, and synthesizes clinical and administrative data into meaningful reports and presentations.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review data for improvement opportunities.
- Identifies major data trends, prepares graphs, measurement tools, and reports variances.
- Demonstrates ability to merge clinical and financial data, and manages databases.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of three years of experience conducting and reporting complex data analyses using statistical methods, preferably in an applied clinical environment. Business management experience and familiarity with Cerner, Epic, Meditech, Allscripts, or Premier are helpful. Working knowledge of NQF, AHRQ, IHI safety indicators, serious reporting events, safe medical practices, and CMS quality measures is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in the discipline preferred.

Pay Range
$24.27 - $34.64 /hour
