Overview
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about data-driven decision-making and eager to support diverse projects that enhance business processes and improve efficiencies across multiple areas. Only candidates currently residing in the Fort Worth area will be considered. Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze internal and external datasets (e.g., GIS, CMMS, SCADA, Customer Information Systems, Key Performance Indicators, Financial Information Systems, and hydraulic modeling).
- Design, analyze, and visualize data to communicate actionable insights to a diverse audience (e.g., maintenance staff, management, regulators, and the public), using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, and Azure Analytics.
- Clean and standardize complex datasets, perform qualitative, quantitative, and temporal analyses.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to establish data standards, maintain data integrity, and create tools to provide products that address stakeholder needs.
- Innovate and inspire business process improvements and operational efficiency for stakeholders through data driven solutions.
- Create data products such as tables, graphs, and statistical summaries to support decision-making and report creation.
- Troubleshoot data issues related to formatting, quality, and documentation.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to extract relevant data and detect inconsistencies, errors, and outliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science or related field
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Azure Analytics.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Ability to align data analysis and processes with stakeholder needs and business goals.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of data quality control and information management processes.
- Experience creating dashboards and visualizations (Power BI) preferred.
- Experience with SQL querying and data reporting preferred.
- Familiarity with utility system datasets (e.g., GIS, CMMS, SCADA) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify data trends and resolve data issues.
Salary range for this position is expected to be between $60,000 and $80,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
