The Data Analyst II reports to the Senior Data Analyst and the Programming Department Software Development Manager.
The position is located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157. Not remote but working in corporate office in Mississippi.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data Analyst II will work under the supervision of the Lead Data Analyst. This is a mid-senior level role.
Assigned work will help to broaden the DAII's experience and increase SQL skills.

Design, develop, and maintain both new and existing SQL queries using SQL Management Studio.
- Design, implement and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform and load data from multiple sources into reporting and analytics environment.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to optimize ETL pipelines for performance, scalability and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness throughout the ETL process.
- Design, develop and maintain SQL queries, views and stored procedures using SQL Server Management Studio to support reporting and analytical needs.
- Create and maintain advanced, reusable reporting solutions to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Translate business and technical requirements into accurate, production-ready reports and dashboards, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct continuous report reviews to eliminate redundancy, improve data quality and consolidate reporting into a single source of truth.
- Work closely with QA teams to validate data accuracy and ensure that reporting deliverables meet quality standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into data solutions.
- Support the software development lifecycle by providing timely, accurate and relevant reporting for product and operational initiatives.
- Maintain a centralized repository of reusable reports and analytic assets via Microsoft DevOps.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering skill development in Power BI, SQL and ETL tools.
- Contribute to the design, review and configuration of analytics applications and reporting solutions to meet evolving business needs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate for this position would have the following required experience as follows:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency at writing SQL queries and validating SQL query results.
- Creating complex DEX measures and calculated columns.
- Understanding of Data Visualization & best practices.
- Advanced understanding of the ETL process & best practices.
- Must be able to independently solve technical problems and collaborate with other analysts.
- Must have the capacity to complete technically challenging projects.
- Must have a solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle and the SCRUM methodology.
- Must understand HIPAA rules that apply to dealing with sensitive data.
- The ideal candidate for this position would have the following preferred experience as follows:
- At least 4 years of experience working with large-scale relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MSQL & Access).
- At least 4 years developing SQL queries.
- At least 4 years of experience using reporting tools to present data.
- Experience using Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSRS & SSAS)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)
- Must have the ability to work independently while practicing effective time management skills.
- Must be able to prioritize work on multiple projects and meet project deadlines in an organized manner.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have keen attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills are required.
- Must be able to handle high priority time sensitive work items.
