THIS POSITION IS ONSITE IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI. (NOT A REMOTE POSITION)

The Business Analyst II reports to the Software Development Manager in the MWG Technologies division. The position is an exempt, salaried role and is an on-premises position located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.


GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Analyst II serves as a mid-level contributor responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational objectives. This role requires independent problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to manage moderately complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.   • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Develop user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria to support solution design.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Conduct requirements meetings, stakeholder interviews, and business process mapping sessions.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements for efficiency, compliance, or customer experience.
  • Support testing activities by developing test cases, performing UAT, and validating system changes.
  • Assist in backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning in Agile environments.
  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to end users as needed.
  • Monitor solution performance and provide post-implementation support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Software Development Manager and upper management.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, Scrum/Agile, Visio and an understanding of user stories, but not required.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook,

Windows, Excel, and Word.

  • Must possess time management, organizational, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining attention to details.
  • Must be resourceful and a self-motivated, team centered candidate.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to perform in a very high paced environment and professionally handle interruptions.
  • Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to prioritize projects, work multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have keen attention to details.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations appropriately.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and privacy in every aspect of the job.

JOB ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work as scheduled.

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85% of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies, possibly weighing up to 20lbs.
