We are looking for a passionate Senior Security Data Analyst/Python Developer to help us parse, transform, and analyze dirty data. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of Python, Data analysis techniques, AWS, ETL patterns, and Automation techniques. This role is hybrid (two days per week) in our Austin, Texas Headquarters. Our Stack includes Python, Linux, Databases: Relational and NoSQL, AWS (EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and more). Responsibilities include parsing and transforming structured and unstructured datasets, building Python-based automation for the parsing platform, bringing order to dirty and/or unstructured data, developing ETL-style automation scripts, maintaining and improving the existing codebase and infrastructure, managing the weekly data ingestion process, collaborating with the team to design and build innovative data systems, data analysis based on the consumption of blogs for the marketing team, developing processes, standards and CI/CD pipelines to manage our codebase, and leveraging AI to automatically parse data. Requirements include 5-7 years of professional experience as a Python developer, a love of working with data, familiarity with cleaning/transforming data, experience building data solutions and automation tools using Python, proficiency in Linux bash/ksh scripting and Regular Expressions, interest in cybersecurity, strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, data processing), experience with relational and NoSQL databases, excellent communication skills, being a great team player, self-directed, empathetic, and eager to automate repetitive tasks, and able to switch contexts as business needs change. Nice to have are background or strong interest in cybersecurity, familiarity with Git version control system, experience with AWS (Compute, Storage, Database), and experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Ansible). SpyCloud is not sponsoring visas at this time.
