Normal Work Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Normal Work Days: Monday through Thursday
Education/Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent. At least 2 years of construction experience and working knowledge of methods, materials, practices, procedures, and equipment used in construction. Equivalent education, skills, training, and experience may be considered. Must obtain or maintain a Class B CDL within 6 months.
Position Summary: Under supervision, performs heavy manual work installing and maintaining utility systems, including sewer lines, manholes, and assisting wastewater crews. Prepares construction sites by removing debris.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair underground service lines, force mains, sewer mains, and assist with installing grinder pump systems.
- Install sewer, water, and storm drain pipes using machinery and laser guidance.
- Operate equipment and tools such as weed eaters, chainsaws, pumps, and saws.
- Maintain pumps, compressors, and generators.
- Operate sampling devices in hazardous environments.
- Assist in pipe lining operations.
- Perform manual labor like digging, lifting, backfilling, and site cleanup.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years construction experience.
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and safety rules.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, operate data devices.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license, Class B CDL within 6 months.
Physical Demands: Must lift at least 80 lbs, work in confined spaces, extended periods standing/walking, work after hours, and in extreme weather.
Work Environment: Exposure to weather extremes, noise, toxic materials, and vibrations.
