The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven Sales Representative for our opening in Portland, Oregon or Tukwila, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and building a customer base in your own assigned territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Sales Representative for Leavitt, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Target and acquire new business
  • Identify the decision makers and key stakeholders within prospective organizations
  • Utilize telephone sales skills to prospect and cold call potential customers
  • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations
  • Utilize CRM database to record pertinent customer information
  • Manage existing client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle
  • Utilize technical support to solve customer challenges
  • Communicating with the service team, parts department and other internal stakeholders
  • Travel to various branches within the territory to meet with key stakeholders
  • Generate opportunities within your territory by executing your territory plan, to uncover and pass off new equipment, parts, service and/or operator training leads for the inside sales team to quote and close

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a related role
  • Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset
  • Maintaining a valid driver’s license and passport is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
  • Previous CRM system experience preferred
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel to Canada for initial training

The base pay range for this role is: $40,000 to $50,000 annually, plus uncapped commission.

This is an onsite role based in Portland, Oregon or Tukwila, Washington.
