Sales Representative (Sales)

Standard Sales Company, L.P., a distributing company specializing in premier beer and beverages across Texas, Mississippi, and Kentucky, is seeking a Sales Representative to join our team. Job Summary

Execute programs to increase retail account sales volume, market share, and distribution while maintaining product quality standards. Improve in-store merchandising and marketing awareness for our brands. Maintain and enhance retailer satisfaction and relationships, achieving sales and execution goals.

Job Duties

  1. Adhere to all state and federal laws.
  2. Regularly visit assigned retail accounts to maintain product inventory, increase distribution, monitor retail pricing, and manage shelf space.
  3. Build relationships with retail decision-makers and license owners.
  4. Communicate, negotiate, and present sales materials professionally.
  5. Maintain product freshness by monitoring stock rotation and inventory levels.
  6. Ensure compliance with retail licenses, selling only to active licensed customers.
  7. Manage retail advertising through ordering and installing point of sale materials.
  8. Increase shelf space and product positioning within the portfolio.
  9. Obtain distribution for new brands and packages as appropriate.
  10. Assist in resolving credit issues and collecting past due balances.
  11. Execute retail programs and company objectives.
  12. Collaborate effectively with team members.
  13. Attend sales and branch meetings as required.
  14. Participate in evening and weekend promotions as needed.
  15. Complete surveys assigned by the company and brewer partners.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer/supplier operations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate.
  • Time management skills.
  • Proficiency with iPad/Computer applications and current selling software.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales, delivery, or merchandising experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in the beverage or consumer product industries.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Move products weighing up to 165 lbs.
  • Hang merchandise as needed.
  • Repetitive lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach.
  • Stand or walk continuously.
