We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Operations Manager to manage and streamline all aspects of our lighting retrofit projects. In this role, you’ll coordinate between customers, utility partners, contractors, and warehouse staff to ensure projects run efficiently from start to finish. Your focus will be on improving project management and reducing inefficiencies, particularly by minimizing the number of lighting shipments per project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination : Serve as the main point of contact, managing timelines and facilitating communication between stakeholders (customers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams).
  • Shipment Optimization : Plan ahead to ensure the correct materials are ordered and delivered on time, reducing last-minute shipments and improving overall project efficiency.
  • Contractor Coordination : Partner with contractors to manage project timelines, adapt to changes, and ensure successful retrofit execution.
  • Warehouse Coordination : Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate material delivery to job sites.
  • Customer Coordination : Resolve issues efficiently, set clear expectations, anticipate potential project obstacles, and ensure seamless execution.

Key Metrics
  • Reduce the average number of lighting shipments per project through better planning and coordination.
  • Maximize contractor throughput by keeping work on schedule.
  • Set and meet accurate timing expectations with all stakeholders.
  • Minimize lag between real-world project actions and their updates in software systems.

Qualifications
  • Look, ideally, you'd have 3+ years of project management experience, maybe even in energy or construction. But realistically, we're comfortable entertaining candidates that are A. very smart and B. excel in their ability to communicate, and we will make exceptions for those two qualities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You're going to be dealing with  lots  of different people, all of whom are wearing different hats, so strong interpersonal skills are pretty important to work effectively. Still, just as importantly, you should probably  enjoy  working with people.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement. Executing in terms of the key metrics paired with proactive process improvement is the best path for upward mobility as we grow.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range : $87,000 – $113,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses, depending on qualifications.
