We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to join our team in Torrance, CA, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will lead and coordinate projects for consumer applications with a focus on digital products, ensuring successful delivery through effective collaboration and communication. Job Description

Daily Responsibilities

• Manage project plans, staff tasks, and progress reporting.
• Track dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Communicate project status to business and IT stakeholders.
• Review, refine, and validate complex business requirements; prioritize backlog.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Tech Leads on technical design.
• Ensure quality through test planning and execution with QA teams.
• Coordinate and lead stakeholder meetings; distribute meeting minutes.
• Create presentations and communication materials for various stakeholders.
• Manage release and post-launch activities; support production systems.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback; ensure transparency.
• Empower delivery teams and Product Owners in task/story definition.
• Facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives and data-driven insights.
• Maintain team data and project collateral to align with evolving business needs.

Project Focus

• Drive Agile practices for customer-facing digital products.
• Collaborate with IT associates, consultants, and vendors to define goals, backlogs, and roadmaps.
• Manage medium to large, moderately to highly complex projects.
• Ensure timely, budget-conscious, high-quality project delivery.
• Assemble project plans, assign tasks, monitor progress, and escalate issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training in Agile development, innovation, or process management.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager for customer-facing digital platforms (e.g., commerce, sales, SAS, compliance).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Collaborative team player with diverse team experience.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
• Technical background to understand complex business requirements.
• Ability to multitask and innovate with minimal oversight.
• Scrum Master capabilities.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with consumer-facing websites or platforms involving complex data transactions/integrations.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for managing project artifacts and user stories.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Experience with Clarity for project and financial management.
