Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful completion of a major IT-related project. This long-term contract position is based in Newark, NJ, and requires a proactive leader who can manage project teams, ensure quality assurance, and deliver solutions involving client/server technologies. As a key player in this role, you will interact with cross-functional teams, senior management, and customers to align project goals with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the execution of a major IT project, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Assemble and lead project teams, assigning individual responsibilities and identifying necessary resources.
• Develop detailed project schedules and oversee quality assurance processes to meet organizational standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create project plans, prototypes, and solutions using client/server technologies.
• Utilize statistical analysis, programming methodologies, and project management tools to optimize project outcomes.
• Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to managers and customers who may lack technical expertise.
• Supervise and mentor team members, handling recruitment, performance reviews, and fostering growth.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Implement policies and procedures to foster efficiency and compliance within the project framework.
• Design and develop database-driven web applications using technologies such as SQL and World Wide Web tools
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with at least 8 years of experience in computer programming or IT project management.• Strong expertise in client/server technologies and web-based application development.
• Proficiency in database programming, application development, and using tools like Microsoft Project and PeopleSoft.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and programming methodologies, including R code.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and senior management.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and quality assurance processes.
• Proven track record in supervising, training, and developing staff within an IT environment.
