Together. Every day. CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Highway & Rail Team at our Keene, NH or Burlington, MA office.

CHA was founded more than 70 years ago to design innovative transportation infrastructure. Our highway professionals have planned, developed, and provided solutions to municipalities, metropolitan planning organizations, public and private authorities, and state transportation agencies. Addressing the immediate travel needs and expectations of today's society and anticipating the mobility and modal challenges and opportunities of the future requires comprehensive planning, engineering, and a commitment to innovation and sustainable design. CHA's transportation team embraces new challenges from roads and highways to roundabouts and rail lines. At CHA, the Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a "seller/doer" dual role, by understanding our client's challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges. The Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This individual is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations. Additionally, the Project Manager develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred

Professional Engineer License (PE) required

Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required; a minimum of 4 years of project management experience required

Previous NHDOT or highway background preferred

Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practices

Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)

Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering

Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences

Proficiency with MS Office software required

Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred

Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required

Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required

Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships

Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements

Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required

Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred

Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred

Ability to travel as needed required

Consulting industry experience highly preferred

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $140,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
