Project Engineer – Commercial Construction Employment Type: Full-Time Commercial Construction Our client is a fast-growing, dynamic commercial general contractor based in San Diego, CA, specializing in ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and major renovations for a diverse client base. Their team is committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. They are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our San Diego team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow within the commercial construction industry. As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects Maintain and update project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers Track project schedules and monitor progress Help manage budgets and cost control measures Support procurement of materials and equipment Conduct site walks and assist in quality control inspections Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred ~1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internships considered) ~ Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, and terminology ~ Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite ~ Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses ~ Health, dental, and vision insurance ~Paid time off and holidays ~
