The Opportunity

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at HKK Law Offices. The ideal candidate possesses strong technological proficiency, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, values transparent communication, shares our client-centered mission, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance to prepare technological solutions and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in client accounting activities, including but not limited to, accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and account reconciliations.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and ERP imports, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and document business transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Document internal financial processes to ensure clarity, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize Excel and other relevant software to analyze financial data, create reports, and facilitate decision-making processes. Populate EOS dashboards with timely metrics.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
  • Support the Finance Director in various ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.

What You Bring (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Progressive experience in AP, AR, financial statements, and general ledger entries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills in formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers, clients, partner organizations, and the general public.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into easy-to-understand terms.
