The Opportunity: Accountant

We are seeking a Accountant to enhance our dynamic Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee essential accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, and accounting for financial products. Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys engaging in various accounting functions. This role reports directly to the Controller.

Our company embraces a remote-first culture, with regular team offsite events. You will be expected to travel for these gatherings at least twice a year.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Prepare and record journal entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and financial product activity.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage daily cash accounting activities, including bank reconciliation tasks.
• Assist with accounting for consumer financial products, covering loan originations, servicing, interest income, and charge-offs.
• Help refine accounting processes and controls as we continue to grow.
• Support annual audits and regulatory reviews, preparing necessary documentation.
• Aid in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, particularly focusing on ERP platforms.
• Assist with the ongoing integration of our international operations.

Why You're a Great Fit

• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Background in either public accounting or a high-growth corporate environment (preferably in fintech or financial services) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Netsuite, is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
