Kratos has an opportunity for an Accountant with the following job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end close
  • Prepare month end reconciliations for general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve variances as needed
  • Responsible for recording and preparing intercompany invoices and confirmation of balances between entities
  • Assist with preparing financial reporting
  • Support fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation, and physical counts
  • Assist with tax schedules and support to corporate tax team as needed
  • Contribute to the implementation/conversion of the accounting system
  • Ability to effectively interact with members of the accounting team, operational teams, sales and executive management as necessary
  • Assist accounting team with other daily and/or month end duties
  • This role calls for a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Up to 2 years of Accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience in project accounting or government contract accounting

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education

Salary Range: $62,500-$70,000
