Accountant

Sierra Peaks is seeking an awesome Accountant to join our wonderful team here in Albuquerque, NM.The Accountant will work under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and support the overall mission of the Accounting Department and Sierra Peaks. The right person will be collaborative, have solid numerical and analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.This position requires accuracy, confidentiality, dependability, organization skills, integrity, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and analytical thinking.This role is on site and full time.

Job Responsibilities:

Accounts payable

General Ledger

Job costing

Accounts receivables

Preparing federal, state and local taxing requirements on monthly and quarterly returns

Providing accounting guidance to staff

Having the ability to work alone and as part of a team

Other duties as assigned

Required:

5+ years of experience in Accounting

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical skills

Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Must be a US citizen

Must be able to pass a drug screening test

Preferred:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field

ERP experience, preferably Global Shop Solutions (GSS)
