POSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting in all areas of accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, balance sheet account reconciliations, and month-end closing. Other responsibilities will include completion and submission of daily/weekly/monthly reports and assisting with quarter and yearly audits.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOW:

  • Provide financial information, analysis and support to various employees as required
  • Assist in the timely completion of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close in accordance with process requirements including accurate preparation of journal entries
  • Assist in preparation of balance sheet account reconciliation and payroll audits
  • Review and develop procedures for accurate reporting and recording of inventory transactions
  • Manage the annual fixed asset audit and coordinate capitalization of new capital assets
  • Performs capital expenditure analysis and tracking of expenditures; perform post audits of active Capital Requests
  • Assist with the coordination of internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls
  • Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts
  • Capture and monitor KPI’s for manufacturing and operations within the Portland facility
  • Complete financial analysis and capture financial/operational optimization recommendations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years accountant experience in a manufacturing setting

B.S in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google, accounting software

Payroll reporting, Paychex or ADP experience

Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once

Excellent Time management skills

Lean manufacturing/KPI reporting exp.

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical

Be able to define problems, collect data and establish facts
