A local Santa Cruz company is seeking a skilled Accountant with several years of experience managing the full monthly accounting cycle and processing multiple sets of books. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll: Process monthly and semi-monthly payroll for multiple entities, including payroll tax reconciliation, quarterly/annual filings, and W-2 preparation. Knowledge of general payroll and timekeeping laws is required.

Accounts Payable: Manage vendor relationships, process payments, and handle 1099 reporting.

Revenue & Receipts: Reconcile income and deposits to ensure accuracy.

Financial Reporting: Generate and interpret financial statements (Income Statements, Balance Sheets) across multiple companies.

Software Proficiency: Work fluently in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Experience with robust accounting software is essential.
